I created ColourSplash to brighten up tables and, because of the vivid mix of colours, these pieces can sit with any colour dinner set, giving a quirky feel! 

The splashes of colour are created from globules of dried coloured glaze that I collect and produce and sprinkle on top of clear glaze. Once fired in the kiln (to 1000 degrees) they melt and leave a raised, quite tactile surface. 

Each one is totally unique, I try to make sure there's a good balance of colours but they do have their own personality and differences!

These bowls can be used in a set as individual pasta bowls or on their own as serving dishes for accompaniments.

The item is then glazed and fired in an industrial kiln to 1000 degrees. This is a lengthy process and takes a full 8 hours to heat up and another 8 hours to cool down. There’s lots of processes to go through to create your pieces hence the 1-2 week turnaround time. Your bowl is food safe and although technically your piece is dishwasher safe and will not fade or tarnish I recommend hand washing to keep it perfect!

I developed my Planets design when my son became interested in the planets. This design helped him learn how they sit in relevance to the Sun.

Space comes in 3 options, a 21cm bowl, perfect size for pasta and rice dishes. A 23cm plate, perfect size for toast or younger children or a 26cm dinner plate.
