I often get asked about the processes I go through to get the finished article so here goes...
I start with a blank item of bisque - the name for a blank piece of unfired pottery. This is my canvas and then I draw on the design before painting with coloured glazes. The item is then clear glazed and fired in an industrial kiln to 1000 degrees. This is a lengthy process and takes a full 8 hours to heat up and another 28 hours to cool down.
There’s lots of processes to go through to create your pieces hence the 2 week turnaround time. Please let me know if you have any questions about the process or would like me to create anything bespoke.
This is such an iconic design. Dandelions have long been seen as a spiritual symbol of hope, optimism and good luck. Many people make wishes as they blow dandelions, others believe that once blown the seeds can carry your thoughts and dreams to loved ones.
I’ve purposefully kept this design very simple and pure with just splashes of subtle colour on the rim. You can choose to have Blush (pink) or Spruce (blue/green) on the rim
This vase shape is ideal for a slim shelf or windowsill and is great for daffodils, tulips or flowers collected from your garden.
As with all my products I am able to add some small personalisation along the stems or underneath.
The vase is 21cm wide, 16cm high and 8cm depth.

For this design the dandelion is silkscreened on and fired once so the design doesn’t move and then decorated before being glazed and fired again in an industrial kiln to 1000 degrees.
