This is a lengthy process and takes a full 8 hours to heat up and another 8 hours to cool down. I then add the colour, glaze and refire, again to 1000 degrees.

This is a design I created for a VE celebration party and was the centrepiece of the table and will now be on show for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The cake stand is 40cm high when assembled.

The top tier has a 15cm diameter with the middle being 20cm and the bottom 25cm.
