I often get asked about the processes I go through to get to the finished article, so here goes...

I start with a blank item of bisque - the name for a blank piece of unfired pottery. This is my canvas and then I draw on the design before painting with coloured glazes. When dry I dip in clear glaze and your horseshoe is then fired in an industrial kiln to 1000 degrees.

This is a lengthy process and takes a full 8 hours to heat up and another 28 hours to cool down. 

There’s lots of processes to go through to create your pieces hence the 2-week turnaround time. Please let me know if you have any questions about the process or would like me to create anything bespoke that you don’t see on my page.

This has been a popular design for a few years. I can tailor the frame to celebrate a birth (date, time, location and weight) or a Christening or Baptism (date and location).

Please note - do not put your frame in direct sunlight as the backing will fade over time.

The platter has a diameter of 30cm and comes with a special pen designed to write on ceramics.

Please note: This is designed to be a decorative piece. After signing with the ceramic pens the platter should be gently hand washed and is not suitable for the dishwasher. The pens have instructions of how to set the ink by cooking in a normal oven at 150 degrees for 30 mins.

This is a design I created for a VE celebration party and it was the centrepiece of the table and has now been used for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the King’s Coronation amongst countless other patriotic events.

The cake stand is 40cm high when assembled.

The top tier has a 15cm diameter with the middle being 20cm and the bottom 25cm.

Please note will be delivered as a flat item with the silverware that simply screws together. This means it’s easy to store in between uses.

Your cake stand is food safe and although technically your piece is dishwasher safe and will not fade or tarnish I recommend hand washing to keep it perfect!
